 A Brief History

In 1992, CEO and co-founder Perry Jonkheer established Institutional Advisory Services Group (IASG) in Chicago, Illinois following twenty years of experience in the commodity futures industry. Throughout his career, Perry has managed or been an active participant in over $2.5 billion in alternative investment assets-acting as a trusted professional with in-depth institutional investment experience. He began his futures trading career in 1972 at Lamson Brothers, the oldest futures broker in the World at the time, where he eventually became the company's top broker. In 1974, he became a trader with the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and then head of International Futures from the floor. Five years later, Kelly Commodities asked Perry Jonkheer to exclusively trade the proprietary account with a special focus on the soybean complex, corn and wheat markets. Perry started International Investor, Inc., an independent introducing broker in 1986 and then, in 1992, started Institutional Advisory Services Group, Inc. (IASG). Following this, he became the sole Managed Futures consultant to Credit Suisse Asset Management's $700M alternative investment fund, helping in all phases from fund construction to manager selection and due diligence to daily monitoring. Mr. Jonkheer is licensed with the National Futures Association (NFA). IASG is registered as an Independent Introducing Broker, Commodity Pool Operator (CPO) and Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA).

 IASG Investor Services

IASG provides comprehensive futures brokerage, trade clearing and execution services to institutions and high net worth individuals. As an introducing broker, IASG has a network of relationships with clearing firms, enabling IASG to offer superior service and a broad range of investment opportunities to investors.

 Our Approach

IASG assists clients in selecting advisors that best match their risk tolerance and expected rates of returns. IASG relies upon both its in-depth industry knowledge and its comprehensive database that includes Commodity Trading Advisors (CTAs) and Managed Forex Managers. The database features fund managers with diverse expertise in trading currencies, global fixed-income securities and equities, precious metals, oil, financial instruments, and agricultural products. From this broad selection, IASG conducts extensive research, including a study of performance data, personal interviews and office visits. Continually searching for promising new talent, IASG introduces new traders to global investors. IASG may replace managers or reallocate funds among managers should a new trader’s program meet a client’s goals.

 Consulting Services

IASG offers consulting support for institutions needing education or training on the use of managed futures, or that wish to develop private label investment products or services.
