CTA Introduction

IStar Capital B.V. is an Amsterdam based asset management company established by two former traders from AIG Financial Products. The company has a systematic investment strategy in commodities, financial futures and emerging market currencies (approximately 50 markets). In May 2011, IStar Capital signed a seed investment deal with IMQubator, the hedge fund seeding platform backed by APG. IMQubator has committed $ 35mln to the IStar Systematic Fund, a sub-fund of the Luxembourg based Privium Selection Fund SCA SICAV-SIF. The strategy is combination of medium-term trend-following, currency carry strategies and a small discretionary risk management component.

Thomas Artarit
Prior to co-founding IStar, Thomas spent 6 years at AIG FP where he was in charge of managing a multi-billion dollar FX/fixed income/commodity hybrid business based in Tokyo.
