CTA Introduction

Blue Fin Capital is an alternative investment manager specializing in trading major spot foreign exchange and global futures markets. Blue Fin is a Global Macro Systematic manager and employs short, medium and long-term trading strategies.

Blue Fin’s focus is on providing client access to a pool of alpha strategies managed within an Omega risk overlay. The Blue Fin Omega Managed Account program provides exposure to all major asset classes, including commodities, currencies, energies, interest rates and equities. It also provides exposure to several Blue Fin trading models through the one transparent managed account. The Blue Fin Omega program diversifies across:
• Time Frames (short, medium, long term)
• Asset Markets (Currency, Equity, Energy, Commodity, Financial)
• Strategy (Volatility and Trend)

The continued success of any trading program relies heavily on the risk management used in implementing the strategy. Our trading strategies are quantitative and are combined with robust risk management frameworks to keep downside volatility of returns within preset constraints. The approach has been adopted on behalf of investors for eight years of actual trading as of January 2010.

Based in Sydney, the company is licensed by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission (AFSL 298221). Blue Fin’s management is Australian-based with worldwide experience and employs five staff locally.
