Portfolio ManagerGerald Delic CTA Introduction FXQU Introduction: the founder of FXQU qualified as an electrical engineer back in 1994 however his attention quickly turned to software development and programming everyday work tasks into repeatable code. He first began analysing the stock market in 1997 and from there the journey of attempting to create fully automatic trading software began. His passion for the financial markets grew and this eventually, in 2005, drove him to work for a major blue chip Investment bank in London on the FX Spot desk as an algorithmic trader. Working in London presented him with the opportunity to focus on the enormous and highly volatile FX markets. Returning to Perth in 2007 he has since been working on building a fully automated trading robot that adapts to the ever changing FX markets with out the risk of human emotion. This robot, 20 years in the making, is called FXQU_A1. FXQU_A1 Summary The robot automatically analyses and executes trades on FX markets 24 hours a day, 5 days a week with zero human intervention. The robot is hosted in the cloud and can be accessed anywhere via the internet. The robot is customisable so that it can be set from low frequency (approx 20 trades per day) right through to high frequency (approximately 2000 trades per day) depending on the amount of risk that is required. FXQU_A1 performs an enormous amount of calculations so that it can make intelligent trading decisions according to the behavior of the financial markets. FXQU_A1 Target Performance: FXQU_A1's initial target return is 10% per month with a conservative low risk profile. FXQU_A1 details: The robot was built using Inter-bank grade FX tick data and was modelled to handle highly volatile events including the Global Financial Crisis of 2008. The robot is self adapting and will make intelligent decisions based on the underlying market. Positions are always placed with stop losses and target profits however these levels are dynamic and change as the market changes. There are no conventional trading indicators or conventional time-frames used .. instead the robot analyses upward of 50 time-frames every 3 seconds across the selected number of currency pairs with the executable trading decisions window occurring every minute. FXQU_A1 is unique and utilises a custom built complex core mathematical trading engine that processes an enormous of data. There are no graphics on charts, no indicators to see, only the trading decisions against the instruments begin traded. Creating FXQU_A1 required a flexible and high performance back-testing platform and nothing was readily suitable on the market - this meant creating a custom built inter-bank quality tick data platform. Work began on this application in 2007 and is still used today to put FXQU_A1 and future versions through rigorous and unforgiving testing of trading data.
