CTA Introduction Ken Jakubzak began his career as a futures trader in 1978, as a commodity broker for Clayton Brokerage. He left Clayton in 1980 to trade his own account as a floor trader at Chicago’s Mid-America Commodity Exchange and later on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade. In 1988 and 1989, he was associated person (“AP”) with the CTAs Glen Laken and then Soderquist Inc. During this period, he learned the Richard Dennis system from second generation “Turtle” Craig Soderquist. Ken founded KMJ Capital LLC, a CTA, in February 1988. He began trading a Diversified Program using the Richard Dennis system for clients in September 1989, which he did until 1999. In 1990, he became an AP with First Futures Fund, Inc., a CPO. In November 1990, he took the position of Manager and AP of the Managed Funds department for First Commercial Financial Group, Inc., a FCM in Chicago. In April 1992, he left First Commercial to trade exclusively at KMJ. He launched his Currency Program in August 1994. In September 2004, Hirst Investment Management acquired KMJ and Mr. Jakubzak traded his Currency Program under the name “Hirst Currency Program.” In December 2005, Mr. Jakubzak left Hirst and began trading exclusively again under KMJ. In May 2015, Mr. Jakubzak withdrew the CTA registration of KMJ. From May 2015 to April 2017, KMJ continued to provide advisory services for certain clients but not with or through a power of attorney. In February 2017, Mr. Jakubzak founded PAK Capital, LLC, to again offer his currency trading program to investors.
