smanders capital, llc is a Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) and member of the National Futures Association (NFA). The firm was formed out of a passion for technology, software, and capital advancement. The concepts used within the strategy were developed over several years. These new ideas push the limits of today's technology. They leverage information and methods that have only existed in the last few years. These techniques are also universal and can be applied against many markets.
Stephen Anderson has been a professional software developer for over 20 years. He has been involved with many different software projects ranging from the Linux Kernel, iOS, PHP, MySQL, Python, Windows, and many more. Back in 2009 he was exposed to the technology of trading futures. Since then, Stephen has dedicated much of the last 5 years to developing automated systems. One of the key ideas he learned was to focus on one entity and learn to trade it well before moving on to others. He chose to study the opening trends of the Index Equity Futures. The opening trends present a lot of opportunity. Stephen has watched how both mechanical and discretionary traders manage their opening trades. He has focused on taking many of the discretionary and mechanical techniques used by top traders and integrated them into his own strategy. Of course, there are many of his own analysis techniques integrated as well. What makes Stephen’s system unique is its ability to read in historical trading results generated by the very same strategy and then use that data to make real­time trading decisions based on historical probabilities.
