MACM provides advisory services in separately managed accounts on its 100% systematic futures program. Monty Agarwal is the founder and the sole portfolio manager of MACM and has over 20 years of experience developing and trading systematic models on all asset classes with extensive experience in Asian markets.

Monty graduated with an MBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business (1996) and a BSc. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania (1990).

From 1996 to 2003, Monty started his career trading interest rate derivatives on the proprietary trading desk at Bankers Trust (NY, Hong Kong), Barclays Capital (Tokyo), and as the Head of Rates Trading for BNP Paribas Asia (Singapore).

Monty founded Predator Capital Management in 2003, which was the investment manager of Predator Global Master Fund, a Non-Japan Asia-focused systematic hedge fund. The fund produced positive returns every year. In 2006, Monty sold Predator to III Funds, a $5 billion platform, where he served as a portfolio manager until January 2008. Between 2008 and 2009, Monty authored and published The Future of Hedge Fund Investing (Wiley 09). Due to its global popularity, the book has been published in English and Chinese (Mandarin).

2009 Monty founded MA Capital Management and conducted extensive research on systematic models. From 2014-2016, in partnership with CITICS, the models were implemented on the on-shore Chinese futures exchanges. From 2016 to 2019, Monty executed his quantitative strategy for large institutional clients, including Trutino Capital Management and ExodusPoint Capital Management.
