CTA Introduction

Mr. Weinreb is the Trading Principal of Ace Capital Management LLC. Mr. Weinreb listed as a principal and became registered as an associated person of Ace Capital Management LLC on May 26, 2006. Mr. Weinreb received a degree of BS in accounting from Brooklyn College and subsequently became a CPA. He started his career in the field of accounting and owned an accounting practice in the New York City area providing accounting and consulting services to businesses and individuals.

Mr. Weinreb had a keen interest in statistics, figures, and charts. He began doing extensive statistical studies and analysis of the stock market and the indices. He began trading futures for his own account in 1983. Mr. Weinreb has managed accounts for clients in years past but later decided to trade just for his own account. He had also published a newsletter which generated buy and sell signals for trading S&P futures contracts.

Mr. Weinreb observed how traders would continually get whiplashed while trading contracts on a short term basis, even though the long term direction of the stock market is up. he shifted his focus to try to figure out how to trade with a longer term bias. After testing his idea with his own trading and improving on it as he traded for himself he eventually settled on his current method of trading. The downside to this method is the drawdowns that come with large market drops. It is important to have sufficient capital to carry your account during these market drops. Entering this program after the market has had a large drop will minimize the drawdown.
