SMN is a provider of Alternative Investment products. It is specialised in servicing institutional investors and focuses on tailor-made products and consulting concepts as well as on innovative investment solutions. SMN was founded 1996 and is licensed by the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA) as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager under the Alternative Investment Fund Manager Act (AIFMG) of Austria. The flagship product is the SMN Diversified Futures Fund, a Managed Futures Fund with a 25-year-track record based on purely systematic trend-following. The development of the SMN Trading Systems began 1990 by two of the company’s founders. Today, more than 200 markets in 10 sectors are traded (including synthetic markets). In June 2009, a new Managed Futures account was set up. Partners and employees seeded the new structure (SICAV-SIF), IMF Interational Momentum Fund - IMF XL Fund, that follows the identical strategy as the SMN Diversified Futures Fund, but with a significantly higher target volatility (MTE around 75%).
